Wearable Art Tote – Lori Meeboer – Coming Home

Being outside is good for your soul. How many of your childhood recollections involve the outdoors? In the variety of subject matters I have painted over the years, there is one theme that I always return to: The Canadian Shield.
So much of my youth is represented in the rocks, lakes, pine trees and skies of the Great Canadian Outdoors. Some of my inspiration comes from photographs, some comes from memory.
My hope is that my interpretation of the Canadian Shield landscape on this bag brings your childhood memories back in vibrant colour and whimsical detail, almost like coming home.
Living with paintings that pay tribute to nature reminds us to slow down, gain perspective and reconnect with the natural world.
What could be better for your physical and mental health than that?
